Knight Frank Malaysia has announced the appointment of Ben Ooi as Associate Director of Retail Consultancy and Leasing.
The new year has brought change within the ranks of Knight Frank Malaysia with retail veteran Ben Ooi joining the firm as the Associate Director of Retail Consultancy and Leasing.
Starting this month, Mr Ooi will be responsible in spearheading the Retail Consultancy and Leasing department, with the intentions to "drive the performance of the department as an added value to the clients across the company".
He brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the role, having previously held roles in the retail development and consultancy sector, where he provided retail consultancy and advisory services to clients in respect to retail development, concepts, analysis of retail market research, fitting out services, as well as lease management services, covering tenant representation, and budget and tenancy requirements.
Mr Ooi also has a proven track record in developing more than 12 established retail projects in Malaysia, with a nett lettable area of 1 million square feet.
Knight Frank Malaysia Managing Director Sarkunan Subramaniam expected the new appointment to bring renewed confidence to the department.
“Given his strong credentials and extensive knowledge in the industry, we believe that Ben will bring diverse expertise to further shape the Retail Consultancy and Leasing department," he said.
